I am lucky to live in a city that’s smack dab in between Washington, DC and Annapolis, MD. So without driving too far, I’m able to find wonderful places to dine that aren’t part of some overloaded-plate-themed chain. Last weekend, my husband and I were in search of a wine and cheese bar and stumbled upon The Purple Tooth in Annapolis. It’s located at the edge of old town Annapolis, right next to the Loews hotel. What a great find!
They have an extensive list of wine offerings that can be purhased by the glass, flight or bottle. Their menu also features cheese boards, complete with sliced baguettes, almonds, sliced apples and fresh figs, and a few sandwiches and other lite fare.
The assortment of cheeses on the 5-cheese board we chose was delicious (my favorite was the Lamb Chopper), as was the wine.
And yes, my teeth were purple when I left!
